Volunteers Needed

We're less than one week out from hosting our first race event! We still need Volunteers to make this happen. Those who have signed up already will get your volunteer roles soon.

Who can Volunteer?: ANYONE

Please Familiarize yourself with the website as It goes over the run of show, things to bring, the run course, etc. We will also go over these details during race setup.

This event was created to introduce youth, and adults to multisport racing. The Splash and Dash provides a pressure free and friendly environment for a variety of ability levels of each athlete. Through funding from the DC Department of Parks and Recreation we invite Ward 7 residents 14 and up, along with the larger DC community, to join us as we stay healthy and active as a community.

District Triathlon's unsanctioned Splash and Dash Event promotes an active lifestyle in a community setting.  This race is a short course, duathlon(swim/run) event hosted in a safe space for all ability levels.  Participants can use any swim stroke, grab the wall, stand up, and/or take a break... JUST DON'T QUIT!

ANNOUNCER: Michanda Myles

The Official Splash and Dash medals have arrived and are looking pretty dope. The first 100 participants are guaranteed a medal. Commemorate your hard work and dedication with some DT Bling. It's got a bit of weight to it as well!

Congratulations Strive2Tri

Congratulations and thank you and “Team STRIVE” for a great, very competitive event. It was great to race with the kids and very competitive senior athletes. As expected the kids came flying out of the pool and ran hard through the trail section. All I saw were smiles. No grumpy frowns. Also a superior performance by very knowledgeable volunteers. Mother Nature also kindly granted us a spectacular day. I must also add a comment about the Prince George Recreational professionals who manage that perfect pool and a trail system as good as any I have seen. As I told your wife I cannot offer any suggestions for improving the event. As the Quaker Dictum goes, “Do what’s in front of you and do it well.” Take pride in accomplishing that and continue. All the best in your future accomplishments. (Also please invite that DJ to the next race; a truly super performance.)
